Our knowledgeable club manager and lead guide is Missouri native and veteran hunter Jeremy Lindsey. Read on for his hunting biography.

My world of waterfowl started at age nine in Ashland, Missouri. I began as my dad’s bird boy, setting out blocks of decoys and retrieving ducks. At age eleven, I shot my first limit of wood ducks at Truman Lake Reservoir. My range of hunting experience soon expanded to small creeks, rivers and lakes throughout Missouri.

I moved to the St. Louis area in 1991 and began hunting the Mississippi river and its backwater tributaries, which led to work at my first duck club. I collected experience at various duck clubs in the years that followed and I studied how food and water affect the population and behavior of ducks. I later became a guide at the clubs while continuing to hunt public properties.

I am proficient in several styles of hunting including wade and shoot, fixed blinds, flooded timber and dry fields. In 2000, I began offering my own guided services, starting with snow goose hunting. In my career, I have led guided duck and goose hunts at several hunting clubs including Dillard Farm, Flooded Farms, Grassy Lake Goose Club,
L & II, Mallard Farms and Richfield.

Inside the United States, I have hunted in the Dakotas, Missouri, Arkansas and southern and central Illinois. Internationally, I have hunted in Argentina and Canada. In my three trips to Saskatchewan, Canada, totaling 59 days, I accumulated a total of 4000 birds.

I look forward to guiding your next hunting trip at Mudhole Duck Club.

Mudhole Duck Club is located just one mile from the Missouri River in Orrick, Missouri, 31 miles northeast of Kansas City with close proximity to the Kansas City airport.  With 340 acres of pure, flat river bottom including 250 floodable water acres, 15 acres of flooded timber and a 30 acre lake teaming with crappie, bass and catfish, our land is as scenic as it is rich with waterfowl.  For decades, this plot has been well-known in the area as a duck hunter’s favorite.
The hunting area is in the lowest part of the river bottom with depths between 12 and 18 inches in the flooded areas.  Millet, corn, buck wheat are planted liberally and natural foods such as smart weed, sago, and wild celery proliferate our farm ensuring adequate food for an abundant roosting bird population.  Electric wells have been installed to maintain ideal water levels and open water during the coldest part of the late season.  Blinds are heated for maximum comfort and our guides' supplies include over 100 dozen floating, full body duck and goose decoys.  We provide boat transportation to and from the lodge to the blinds for your safety and comfort.
The property holds a large concentration of roosting birds during the season, which is why our hunting is so consistent versus other areas.  Massive amounts of migrating waterfowl concentrate in our area providing some of the best waterfowl hunting period.  Our duck and goose hunting over decoys in open water is simply fantastic.  Last January, our Club was featured in Jeff Foiles’s Fallin Skies V video released in early 2008.  Many other Pro Staff members from the industry’s top companies rank this Club as one of the most outstanding waterfowl hunting places in the country.
You’ll find our classic and comfortable 6500 sq ft.  lodge to be the perfect place to relax after the morning hunt.  The lodge includes a spacious lounge/common area and bar with high speed wireless internet access, business center, satellite TV, game, pool and shuffleboard tables and a full commercial kitchen.  We have ample sleeping accommodations for any sized group.  Please take a few minutes to explore our website for more details on this hunting site, our lodge, annual memberships and corporate and group packages.
